My pet isn't evolving. What should I do?

Make sure you've granted HealthKit permission. Go to iPhone Settings โ†’ Privacy & Security โ†’ Health โ†’ StepPet, and enable Steps, Distance, and Active Energy. Your pet evolves based on daily steps, water intake, and your walking streak.

How do I cancel my Premium subscription?

Go to iPhone Settings โ†’ tap your name at the top โ†’ Subscriptions โ†’ StepPet โ†’ Cancel Subscription. You'll keep Premium access until the end of the current billing period.

I lost my pets after reinstalling the app. How do I restore them?

Sign in with the same Apple ID or Google account you used before. Your pets and progress sync automatically via cloud backup. If you were using Guest mode, data stays on the device only.

The widget shows 0 steps or old data. What's wrong?

Long-press the widget โ†’ Remove Widget โ†’ add it again from the widget gallery. Make sure HealthKit permission is granted for Steps, Distance, and Active Energy.

How do I restore my Premium purchase on a new device?

Sign in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. In the app, go to Premium โ†’ Restore Purchases. Apple will recognize the active subscription automatically.

How do I delete my account and all data?

In the app: Settings โ†’ Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, pets, and all synced data from our servers within 30 days.

Is my health data shared with advertisers?

No. HealthKit data (steps, distance, calories) stays on your device and is never sent to advertisers or third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Why does the Apple Watch show more steps than my iPhone?

StepPet reads from HealthKit, which aggregates data from both your iPhone and Apple Watch. If you wear your Watch while your iPhone stays still, the Watch counts those steps.

Can I use StepPet without an account?

Yes. Tap "Skip for now" on the login screen to use Guest mode. All features work locally. Cloud sync and leaderboards require a sign-in.
